Tangled

"Tangled" is a 2010 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film is loosely based on the German fairy tale "Rapunzel" from the collection by the Brothers Grimm. It was directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard, and features the voices of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Donna Murphy, and Ron Perlman.

The story follows Rapunzel, a young princess with long magical hair who has been locked away in a tower by the evil witch Mother Gothel. She dreams of seeing the world and escaping her confinement. One day, a thief named Flynn Rider stumbles upon her tower and she convinces him to take her on a journey to see the floating lights that appear in the sky every year on her birthday. Along the way, they encounter various challenges and adventures, ultimately leading to Rapunzel discovering her true identity and freeing herself from Mother Gothel's grasp.

"Tangled" received critical acclaim for its animation, voice acting, and music, particularly the song "I See the Light," which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. It was also a commercial success, grossing over $592 million worldwide. The film was followed by a short film titled "Tangled Ever After" and a television series titled "Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure."
